Hello lovelies, I hope that you’re having a beautiful day. And today, I’m super excited to share with you five ancient natural beauty secrets that I personally Used.
The first natural beauty secret is rose water, and thousands of years ago rose water was not so secret. Because it was commonly used for cosmetic purposes by the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Persians and many more. The Romans were actually the first to document and classify its healing powers and, it was a regular in Cleopatra’s bath time and skincare routine.
I love rose water and I’ve actually been using it for years, because some of you may not know but Bulgaria is one of the world’s biggest exporters of rose oil and rose water. It’s very commonly used there and in fact my mom actually grew up picking roses on her summer vacations from school. That was then used to make a rose oil and rose water.
So it’s very special to me. Rose water is notable for toning and hydrating the skin. It is safe and powerful for all types of skin and, helps stability natural oil production and, it encourages circulation and a clean bright complexion. I love to source great quality Bulgarian rose water and I use it as a toner in between cleansing and moisturizing and, there are so many different brands of rose water. But just make sure that when you’re looking you, find one that is chemical free and organic.
02. Argan Oil
The second beauty secret is Argan Oil and, in Morocco argan oil has been used for its beauty benefits for thousands of year. In fact it has been it very appreciated by the Berber tribes. The primary cosmetic use that was given to argan oil was as a natural hair and, skin protector from the ultra-dry climate. It is derived from fruit of the native argan tree and, argan oil is super high in natural vitamins and essential fats. It is demonstrated to make hair silkier, shinier and, softer. This is why I always look for hair care products with argan oil in them.
In partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Herbal Essences identify and appreciates the benefits of argan and has incorporated the factor into one among its collections. The argan oil collection is amazing for repairing damaged hair and, adding silkiness and shine. I’ve been using my shampoo and conditioner for months and I can really tell a difference in my hair and, actually I comment all the time asking people for my hair care routine.
To be honest I don’t do anything to it as long as I wash it with a really good-quality shampoo conditioner. I just let it air dry and do its thing. It’s super important for me as well at the Herbal Essences shampoo conditioner are free of parabens, colorant, mineral oils and are certified PETA cruelty free.
And a little tip for years now, I’ve only been putting conditioner in the bottom half of my hair and I find that it really helps because my roots don’t really need the hydration, but my ends definitely do. So if you haven’t tried that before try it out and see how your hair reacts to it.
The third natural ancient beauty secret can be traced back over 4,500 years ago to Southeast Asia and specifically India and, that is Turmeric. Turmeric is amazing for your skin and its antibacterial, antioxidant and, anti-inflammatory properties really help give a natural glow to the skin. It basically sounds like a miracle ingredient to use in skin care and, it’s so beneficial to heal up rejuvenate and brighten your skin as well as help with sun spots and scars.
For the fact turmeric is actually so well loved in India, that it is customary for the bride and groom and the morning of the wedding to make a turmeric paste and apply it to their face and body to brighten their skin. You may want to try to Rick mast to reduce acne and any resulting scars and, it’s really good for calming the skin. You can mix tumor a quick oil water, honey or any plant-based milk and just apply it to the skin and neck, leave on for about 15 to 20 minutes and wash off with water.
Just note that turmeric can temporarily stay in your skin and leave a yellow residue behind. That is totally normal just make sure you don’t get it on your clothes or your sheets, because not going to be really hard to get out and, if you want to try to reduce the staining on your skin then just mix it with oil or coconut milk.
Our fourth ancient beauty secret scents from South America, and it is one of my favorite foods in the world & its avocados. Women in Latin America have been using avocados in their beauty treatments for centuries. Avocados are rich in essential fatty acids, minerals and vitamins including calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and potassium. They can help enhance skin elasticity reduce the effects of aging and health with dry your acne prone skin.
And more skin care brands are adding avocado to their ingredient list, but for me the easiest way to get its benefits is, just make a DIY mask at home and I usually just mix it with banana oatmeal or honey. The antioxidants and vitamin E and, avocados can help improve the texture and tone of your skin while, the natural fruit acids exfoliate dead skin cells.
And last but certainly not least we have honey and, absolute powerhouse when it comes to Skincare. It is the main ingredient in almost every DIY mask and has been used for thousands of years. Humans apparently began searching for honey at least 8,000 years ago and like most of the other things on this list. Of course, there are many uses for honey besides for cosmetic purposes but there is evidence that it has been used for cosmetic purposes for thousands of years. In fact it was used as an ointment to help with burns and rashes and, there’s evidence that it can help with cell turnover.
Raw honey is naturally antibacterial and a amazing quick manner to get soft stunning skin. To use that as an easy mask whose take raw honey and gently warm it by rubbing your fingertips together, spread it on your face and leave on for 5 to 10 mins and then use little warm water to softly rinse it off, and pat dry.
To get the benefits of honey, you can either use it straight up in your hair care or skin care routine or you can find products that have it as a main ingredient, and Herbal Essences also actually have a honey collection and is their sulfate free honey and vitamin B shampoo and conditioner. So check that out as well because it’s really amazing.
